As a relatively new "immigrant" to the Sunshine Coast, I fortunately have had no reason to visit the emergency department of St. Mary's Hospital. However, recently, a friend visiting from Vancouver had a fall off her bicycle that brought me there for the first time. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful everyone was. Their demeanor and attitude were as sunny as the beautiful day outside. Not only that, but no stone was left unturned to deal with my friend's broken bones and get her a referral to another hospital in Vancouver.
On her behalf, I would like to say thank you to all, especially Dr. Goddard and the team, called in on a Saturday evening.
Oh, and not to forget the follow up call to my friend a week later to ask how her surgery went. We are fortunate to have such caring people working in St. Mary's Hospital.
