I was looking at the long list of Sechelt properties up for tax sale in a recent edition of Coast Reporter. It made me wonder if people know they can prepay their tax by instalment. When the big bill comes in June each year, it's sometimes hard to come up with a lump sum. But many people prepay their tax with a monthly post-dated cheque or through online banking in order to make it more manageable.
Talk to my office at Service BC (for rural tax) or your municipal office if you want to set up payments. I'll wager that come next June, you'll be glad you did.
