Coastal old growth forests will be doomed if BC Timber Sales have their way.
Mount Elphinstone and other areas are about to be raped, and the heart and blood of old growth trees will disappear forever. Can anyone save these standing sentinels? Our grandchildren's children will never see or experience these trees in the lush forests in our area.
What is wrong with our ministries that they approve of this logging, all for the mighty dollar?
Much more is at stake than just the cutting of the trees. The animals and other plants that live and depend on the forests will be decimated as well.
Please think twice and put a stop to this venture. People - stage sit-ins and stand-ins, surround the forest hand-in-hand and refuse to let the loggers perform their massacre.
