If SCRD chair Lori Pratt et al. really want to “learn to do better,” here’s a suggestion:

Yes, legislation did require the Regional District to submit proposed utility rates before the devastating effects of COVID-19 put many Sunshine Coasters out of work.

In light of that, I would ask if there has there been any attempt to contact Premier Horgan’s office to request a revisiting of the new rates and to seek permission to make changes that will reflect the current economic conditions. The entire legislature seems to be showing a great deal of flexibility and concern these days, so why not give it a try?
