Why is the District of Sechelt council continuing spending taxpayers hard earnedmoney on non-essential items? Not content to spend thousands of dollars on a lifeless logo, now they voted to spend $13,000 to $16,000 to conduct a 10 to 15 minute phone survey of residents (Coast Reporter, Aug. 24) to find out how satisfied we are with the District's performance. It's not necessary to waste our tax money surveying voters for their opinions when all the council has to is to read letters to the editor.
For example councillors have yet to respond to myletter requesting theyrepair the dangerous potholes in the 6400 block of Jasper Road.
The wasteful logo and survey tax money is better spent on feeding hungry people, don't you think so?
