The following letter was submitted to District of Sechelt council and copied to Coast Reporter.
It is disturbing to note there was a resolution released from in-camera on Wednesday regarding the location of the new sewage treatment plant on the old Anderchek property.
Council has stated, on numerous occasions, that the final decision has not been made and that they encouraged input from the public. This resolution suggests the opposite.
Our community requires a long-term plan rather than a short-term fix. The representatives we elected need to look at all the options, inform themselves, and base their decision on what's best for the entire community.
