A weekly feature in the Coast Reporter contains short bios of remarkable people who have lived on the Sunshine Coast – the obituaries.
The passing of these Coasters reveals a variety of talents, accomplishments and familial ties they had that collectively manifest a host of generally unknown notable events and experiences in their lives. Their lights have been hidden under a bushel. Their obituaries are often impressive.
The old Sanskrit adage surely applies to many of them:
“When you were born, you cried while the World rejoiced.
Live your life in such a way that when you die the World will cry while you rejoice.”
