Letter: Remembering Johnny Stork

'He was the total opposite of the typical biker – wearing sandals and painting his toenails bright red was the type of guy he was.'

Editor:

I recently learned of the passing of a community legend – Johnny Stork.

Many knew Johnny through his kindness and compassion to others. He was always there to help others in need.

While his passing has left many saddened, he leaves us with many happy memories. He loved his Harley motorcycle; he was the total opposite of the typical biker – wearing sandals and painting his toenails bright red was the type of guy he was.

There are some plans in place to put a memorial or commemorative bench at his favourite spot, outside Gramma’s Pub overlooking the water. It would be a great place to meet and remember him.

See you on the other side, Johnny. I’ll be wearing sandals and painting my toenails red this summer while you watch down with a smile.
