Letters: I’m tired of being understanding with BC Ferries

'I am sick of people being reasonable and understanding, including the various inaction committees that provide a veneer of customer participation. '

Editor:

Much of my work as an engineer is on the mainland. I used to be able to comfortably do three or four jobs and get home for dinner. For the past months I have tried to limit my trips to one a week because no matter if I only had one job I would spend around eight to 10 hours waiting on one side or the other and frequently both terminals, leaving me exhausted and sometimes seriously overheated in all senses of the word.

I am sick of people being reasonable and understanding, including the various inaction committees that provide a veneer of customer participation.

Build a  bridge and stop holding the  Sunshine Coast to ransom most days. Use the Coast ferries on the other routes and put the Coast staff on tollbooths for the bridge etc.

The irony is that long term the government will make more money than they do with the ferries.
