I live between the Selma Park and Davis Bay residential developments and am opposed to them both. I admit however, my opposition is firstly for the selfish reason that it is already difficult enough for us to access Highway 101 and these developments will only make matters worse and secondly, for the strain they will impose on our already overwhelmed water supply system.
In the larger picture, it was inevitable these prime parcels of residential property would be developed by somebody sometime.
Unfortunately, I suspect some of the vocal opposition thus expressed stems from the developers being Indigenous and foreign owned.
My problems would be resolved by an alternate 101 and an adequate water supply.
