The following letter was addressed to Sechelt Mayor Darnelda Siegers and shared with Coast Reporter.
We would like you to please reconsider your approval of the Homei development on Havies Road.
The (main) reason we think this should not be approved is because this does nothing for local people on the Coast looking for places to live.
This will make millions of dollars for some off shore developer selling to off shore clients. While at the same time negatively affecting the Davis Bay people with construction traffic and hundreds more vehicles, down the line, trying to access the highway.
And not to mention increasing water usage and the congestion at ferry terminals. There is nothing in it for locals, it is only making money for developers.
