As editor Ian Jacques so aptly wrote in his editorial (Coast Reporter, April 16) why not try some of the evening entertainment? Who is it going to hurt? What a great suggestion he made to have the grad class do a pick-up and drop-off, for those seniors who can't drive at night.

Graham Wray is the secretary/treasurer of the SunCoast Harmony Enter-tainment Society, and I am the president. I know Mr. Wray to be a fine upstanding, Christian gentleman, who has done many good works in this community. To tarnish his reputation by mean spirited comments is wrong and counter-productive.

At a general meeting on April 5, a new member, Ray Eagle, addressed the president of the Gibsons Seniors' Society, stated his name and spoke to a motion. He gave his opinion, and then he was booed and hissed at by some members. I was embarrassed and dismayed by the poor behaviour of some of our members. Shouting out an opinion from the back of the room, without stating your name, is very poor protocol. Maybe some people should read Roberts Rules.

Harmony Hall is a lovely venue and should be for the use of all seniors. I appeal to you again, let us work together for the betterment of this membership. Let us have harmony and fellowship at Harmony Hall.
