Re: GPAG reception

To the writer of last week's letter, it is such a travesty that you feel that your rights have been infringed upon; and you have no choice but to publicly withdraw your support of such a fine institution as the Gibsons Public Art Gallery, over a littleHeinz 57 cross, (I think his name isBrutus)?

This wispy little "soul" was on a leash and was safer brought into the future gallerythan left outside. The food was "gratis" and was generously donated by many supporters of the gallery and no one had to eat it, if they were offended by the" anklehigh" guest.

It should come as no surprise that the Sunshine Coast has many a dog which can be found in retail stores, shops, public events, grocery stores, beaches, vehicles and even homes.

If the lady doesn't want to enjoy the "privilege" of having her art displayed at the wonderful new gallery, I would be most grateful to fill the empty slot.

If I am so lucky, it will be entitled "Furry Friends and Favourite Places" and will consist of about 24 doggie portraits; and yes, (if no one objected) I'd bethrilled if some dogs were toattend. (or even the odd goldfish).

Thanks to all the wonderful people who worked so hard to make this afternoon such a success. GPAG is indeedthankful to havebeen given such a wonderful opportunity.

The late Eve Smart would be so happy if she could see her dream, coming true and would thank everyone who has worked so hard to make this happen.
