Congratulations to the old boys walking club and their dedication to bring forward a recommendation to stop the Davis Bay destruction highway plan. Doug Reid did a tremendous job of leading the discussions for the public to understand the possible change that might occur if council got their wish to realign the highway along the beach at Davis Bay. Congratulations, Doug!
This has been a long time coming to reach a point of discussion and change and a better highway clean through from Gibsons to the Earls Cove ferry terminal. I hope the local politicians of the Coast begin the formal talks to begin the links that will lead to a necessary highway from ferry to ferry. The Coast road at Davis Bay is a jewel for walkers and a beautiful site for tourists.
