Editor: I enjoy reading your editorials, even though you sometimes get it so wrong, as is the case with your opposition to the improvements to Gibsons Way. I find it much easier and safer to walk Gibsons Way with the new left-turn signals and pedestrian lights and crosswalks. I also like the bike path, new landscaping, and bus pullouts because they put more space between me and the cars. Gibsons is growing up, and drivers need to learn to share the road with pedestrians, transit users, and cyclists. So many people work, shop, and play in town now that it is no longer possible to speed through Gibsons as though it were just a billboard on the highway.
