Editor:
Congratulations on an excellent and on point editorial (Coast Reporter, April 12) about the proposed "rapid change" to create an instant traffic nightmare in downtown Sechelt.
What an incredibly ill-conceived idea to make Cowrie Street one-way. Paint "a few yellow lines" indeed, never mind the buses, the non-existent traffic lights off the highway, the wrong way Pharmasave parking lot and the Saturday farmers' market. And this after consulting a tiny and assuredly non-representative portion of the population.
I was under the mistaken impression that lucid planning decisions were ostensibly made by our elected officials, after due consideration and research.
