I read a notice last week that as of April 22, West Vancouver residents will have garbage collection every other week and recycling materials picked up every week.
With the extensive use of the green dump, composting and recycling, we rarely generate more than one shopping bag per week. Surely we could realise considerable savings by following West Vancouver's lead on garbage pickup. The recycling system we have with Gibsons Recycling seems to work well.
