The following letter was sent to Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Keith Ashfield, MP John Weston and MLA Nicholas Simons and copied to Coast Reporter.

Editor: In his letter (Support for climbing wall, Coast Reporter, July 6), Rand Rudland is distressed at the possible demise of the climbing wall at the Sechelt Aquatic Centre.

Editor: I assume that column space restrictions explain the unchallenged assertion, attributed to Town of Gibsons staff, that the use of Kearton Road as an access route is a "novel" concern for the town (Coast Reporter, July 6).

Editor: Minister of Environment Terry Lake recently announced a community charging infrastructure fund, and the Sunshine Coast Regional District and the District of Sechelt are considering six of these units.

Editor: It was great to celebrate this past Canada Day, and especially acknowledge the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, a welcome celebration on this Sunshine Coast! Reflecting on this, my sense is that the value of our Canadian constitutional
