Editor: There is a fairly simple fix to adding more capacity to the ferry system using existing ferry equipment and terminals.

Editor: It’s budget planning time again on the Sunshine Coast. In carrying out their functions, councillors and staff are generally conscientious. However a radical change in past mindset is required in these parlous times.

Editor: I have to say how angry I am at the district of Sechelt wanting to borrow $3.8 million to build a Taj Mahal at the top of Dusty Road. This loan will take 20 years for us taxpayers to pay back.

Editor: To pay for a new public works operations building, District of Sechelt council is seeking electoral approval through the Alternative Approval Process (APP) to borrow $3 million – to be repaid through more personal taxation.

Editor: This letter was sent to Member of Parliament Patrick Weiler and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. I write to urgently request that you do all in your power to have Canada sign and ratify the United Nations Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty.

Editor: The Trudeau government’s new regulations respecting air travel into Canada defy rational behaviour. To require additional testing after having been tested within the past 72 hours flies in the face of all logic.
