Gibsons Rotary Club held their annual golf tournament on Saturday, Aug. 29, and were greeted with many hardy golfers, who wouldn’t let a little stormy weather get in their way of having a good time, while supporting Gibsons Rotary Club.
This year’s tournament was a fundraiser for local youth looking to enter trade and vocational programs. The monies raised are administered through the Gibsons Rotary Scholarship program, and will be passed on at year-end graduation ceremonies.
Showing their continued support were volunteers, not only from Gibsons Rotary and their spouses, but also Elphinstone Secondary INTERACT students (future Rotarians), who were in control of the putting green event. Many thanks go to Sophie Conyers, Charlotte Buhr and Quinton Ruth.
