Lexi Muir scored a hat trick in Sunday’s game and the U18 Storm girls beat the Port Coquitlam Fury 6-0 at Brothers Park in Gibsons.

Following four consecutive victories to start the season, Storm were promoted to a higher division over Thanksgiving. The Fury led the league until Sunday when the Storm quickly dismantled the visitors’ defence, scoring four before half time.

Lexi Muir finished the game with a hat trick while Pearl Deasey, Nisha Wells and Ingrid Hansen also scored. Goalie Charlotte Buhr notched another shutout, helped by resolute defending from captain Eva Robson, Saleah Bilbach, Emily Bullen and Sofia Carroll.

U18 Storm stretches its unbeaten record to five games, with 27 goals scored and two conceded. The girls take on Sur-Del Strikers in Surrey this Sunday.
