The Sunshine Coast Senior Swim Team recently competed at the Over 55 BC Games in North Vancouver.
The Swim Team forms part of Zone 4 in these games. There are usually in excess of 10 swimmers from the Coast competing, but this year the team was represented by only four swimmers, three males and one female.
As one of the swimmers put it, “We are small but we are mighty.”
The team returned to the Coast with a total of 25 medals, 12 gold, eight silver and five bronze.
Individual performances were:
Bruce McDonald: five gold, one silver and one bronze.
Siemion Altman: four gold, two silver and one bronze.
Tom West: three gold, two silver and one bronze.
Els Mol: three silver and two bronze.
