Isabella Jones is the skater of the month for September. The Sunshine Coast Skating Club is happy to see the return of Isabella to the STAR program this season. Isabella attended skating in Victoria this summer to assist with muscle memory and continued training while no ice was available on the Coast.
Isabella is 13 years old and attends Chatelech Secondary School in Sechelt. She has a passion for music and the arts; she plays guitar and drums. She is fluent in French and works part time as a cashier at RONA. She currently skates four days a week and plans to compete in two provincial competitions this season. She passed numerous Skate Canada tests last March and the club wishes her continued success with her skating goals and progression. She exhibits great sportsmanship, is a positive role model to the younger skaters, and an asset to the club.
