The U14 Sunshine Coast Storm Girls soccer team came within one goal of cleaning up at the Surrey Mayor’s Cup March 11 and 12.
If the fields could talk, they would describe an incredible weekend of the best soccer these girls have ever played.
After all the mud settled, they took silver handily, and anyone who watched them play would agree they showcased a wicked passing game, fantastic teamwork and a shoulder to shoulder toughness that will be needed from now on.
The Storm girls are moving on now in post-season play for the Coastal Cup playoffs.
If they put as much effort into those games as they did in this tournament, they are sure to make us all proud.
