In the final game of a momentous season, the Chatelech girls rugby team defeated the Westside Warriors 27-5.
Since early March, the girls had coalesced into a strong unified squad. Making the provincials in Sevens, placing 15th in the province, was a most impressive accomplishment for the youngest team in the tournament.
A number of the girls were invited to participate in high level summer league play and were off to training camps beginning June 4.
