Gibsons’ Lily Riggs successfully broke four B.C. records in the 84kg weight class on March 25 at the BLM Barbell Spring showdown, her fourth IPF BC Powerlifting competition.

The competition was her last as a Sub-Junior (18 and under) so she decided to compete in a higher weight class to hold more B.C. records.

Her weights were: squat - 140kg (308 lbs), bench - 77.5kg (170 lbs), deadlift - 167.5kg (369lbs); total - 385kg (847 lbs).

Riggs currently trains in Sechelt with her coach Curtis Munson. She is on her way to Western Powerlifting Regionals in Edmonton in September and hoping to go on to Nationals in Ottawa in March of 2019.
