Lacrosse is coming to the end of a successful season on the Coast.

With the end of school comes the end of lacrosse season for the more than 70 players of the Sunshine Coast Rapids.

The Midget team players won their last game of the season on June 25 in Gibsons and are off to the Provincials in Langley July 20 to 23.

The Peewees also had a successful season and were at the top of their division’s leaderboard for much of it, while the Novices had great fun playing in three tournaments in May and June. They have one more tournament July 4 to 6.

Huge thanks go out to all the coaches, managers and assistants for helping to make this season so great for all the players. The Sunshine Coast Lacrosse Association looks forward to making the 2018 season even better.

If you know boys or girls aged five to 15 who might be interested in playing Canada’s traditional national sport with a great group of kids – or if you are interested in coaching or helping out with the teams next year – please contact [email protected]

Go, Rapids!
