The first game of the 2016-17 Sunshine Coast Adult Men’s Hockey League playoffs took place in Gibsons on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Each of the six teams will face each other in round-robin play between Feb. 21 and March 11. The top two teams coming out of the round robin will play a best-of-three game series, with the final game being played on March 18.
With only a few points separating second place from sixth place in the standings after 30 games, the Bruins, Cutters, Hitmen, Oilers and Rangers will all be trying to unseat the first-place Hawks for the prestigious playoff championship.
The adult men’s league has been drawing more and more fans and players from across the Sunshine Coast over the years, thanks to the gracious support of the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD). Please come out and show your support for your favourite men’s team over the next few weeks!
