If you are a connoisseur of old cars, then you will want to ride Chapman Creek Falls Trail. The best access is at the top of Selma Park Road. There is plenty of parking there and the SCRD has put up an excellent sign showing some of the other trails in the area. The trail to Chapman Creek Falls begins here.
Turn left when you get to the main double track trail but keep to the right when you come to the fork and follow the trail to the power line. On the other side of the power line and a little to the right you will continue on a single-track trail. There are several interesting old cars lying along the side of the trail. When you get to the gravel road, follow it uphill until you get to the pump house building. Behind the pump house is another road which will take you to the Falls.
After you get past the aluminum-grated walkway and just before the falls, you might notice a trail coming in on the left; this is the BLT trail that connects with Dusty Road.
Don’t be too disappointed about the falls. It is definitely not Niagara or even like our very own Burnett Falls, but it is an exciting rushing gorge if seen at the right time of year.
The Chapman Creek Falls Trail is a steady uphill trail that is not too strenuous. No matter how long it takes you to get to the falls, you will have time to look around because it will only take you a few minutes to get back to Selma Park Road – a quick and exciting downhill ride.
