Local triathlete David Barnum (pictured right) placed second in the 55-59 age group at the 2016 Canadian National Aquathlon Championships in Penticton last weekend.
Barnum has qualified as a member of the Canadian age group team that will compete in the 2017 world championships next August.
He will be competing in the Americas Masters Games in Vancouver on Sept. 2 in the sprint triathlon distance.
