The Elphinstone Junior Girls Volleyball team had an immensely successful season. At the conclusion of regular season play, the team was ranked second in the North Shore West Division. After an incredible 3-0 upset against the top-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas Saints, the team advanced to the North Shore Finals and finished second overall after a loss to Handsworth.
The top three teams from the North Shore were invited to Vancouver and District Regional Finals at Moscrop Secondary, which included the top seeds from Vancouver, North Shore, Burnaby, and Richmond. Here, the team placed fourth after some close matches, which further qualified them for the invitational Provincials tournament in North Delta.
Every game at Provincials was exciting, with teams fighting hard for every point. In many cases, games went their full duration with only a small number of points separating the winning and losing teams. After some tough losses early in the tournament, Elphi finished strong and ended up 29th overall in B.C. Congratulations, Elphinstone!
