Home game this Sunday

U18 Storm

Goalie Charlotte Buhr notched another shutout and Emily Bullen added her name to a growing list of goal-scorers as the U18 Storm beat WCA Kaos 3-0 on Sunday. Playing in torrential rain, the Coast girls scored all three in the first half of a scrappy game in Maple Ridge. Pearl Deasey and Ingrid Hansen had already scored before Emily cut in from the right wing, turned her marker inside out, and coolly beat the on-rushing keeper to make it three.

Both sides struggled to control play on a difficult surface and numerous second-half Storm attacks were thwarted by the Kaos defence. The result improves the unbeaten Storm’s record to nine consecutive victories, with 45 goals scored and three conceded. The girls are scheduled to play a rare home game on Sunday at Brothers Park in Gibsons, 2 p.m. kickoff.
