The Sunshine Coast Dart League was host to more than 60 dart players for the third annual Gibsons Open Dart Tournament.

The dart players took over the Gibsons Legion Hall from Friday night, Aug. 21 to Sunday afternoon, Aug. 23. Players came from all over the province including Chilliwack, Kamloops, Prince George and Victoria.

The turnout for all the events was more than successful, with all 28 boards being used.

Both the Gibsons Legion and the Coast Dart League contributed $500 each towards the prize money for 100 per cent payout to the top four teams in each event.

Players from all over the Coast came out to participate and helped to make it a successful event. The expectation is this BC ranked event will be more successful next year.

The Coast Dart League is a fun dart league that has over 100 players with 12 teams last year. The purpose of the league is to promote darts and support dart players on the Coast.  The regular Monday darts will commence in early September. More information is available at Coastdarts.ca
