Each year the event raises funds for the hospital, and this year the funds are dedicated to a new ambulatory care unit. The final figures are not yet known, “but we feel certain we will be very close to our goal,” said Hospital Foundation board director Ian MacDonald.
“This event is not just about fundraising; it is about recognizing and celebrating the community of support our hospital receives, from the individual donors who give to the Foundation, to the companies on the Coast who always seem to step up when we need their help. As this event clearly demonstrated yet again, what a great community this is,” MacDonald said.
