The Sunshine Coast Adult Hockey League kicked off the 2021-22 season with a drop-in scrimmage at the Gibsons & Area Community Centre on Tuesday Aug. 3. A full 26 skaters and two goalies made for a full house on the ice and some fast-paced action.

Those working the rust off their skate blades after a year off were greeted with local Junior Hockey players Jaden and Justin Fodchuck as well as Kyle Bergh, who were lighting up the goaltenders all night.

SCAHL’s Aug. 10 drop-in was full and the remaining drop-ins scheduled for Aug. 17, 24 and 31 are filling up fast.

The league is looking for officials for the 2021-22 season. Those interested will be trained and well compensated.
