The Firebells took the title in the competitive division in this year’s Hitmen 7 A-Side Hockey Tournament at the Sechelt Arena last weekend, April 1 to 3. The Greys won the fun division.
The tournament is organized and run by one of the local Men’s League Hockey teams, the Hitmen. It consisted of two divisions – a competitive division and a fun division.
Throughout the weekend, 38 games of hockey were played between 18 teams, beginning early in the morning and carrying on late into the night.
Players came from all over the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast to participate in this fast-paced, action-packed weekend.
