Two weeks ago the Elphinstone and Chatelech girls soccer teams went head to head at Elphinstone.
The mixed ages and grades made it a fantastic showcase of how much talent we have on the Sunshine Coast. Back and forth, full tilt, from end to end as the teams tried to figure out how best to utilize each other, all while having only a handful of practices together as teams. Speed, great defending and sweet through balls were among the highlights from both sides.
In the end, Elphinstone made sure that Chatelech would really want a rematch, because on this unbelievable day of really fine soccer, the Cougars took home the first win of what the fans on the sidelines hope will be the start of many more games to come from these two teams.
