On Tuesday, June 2, mountain bike riders from West Sechelt Elementary, Kinnikinnick and Ecole du Pacifique took to the awesome Kinnikinnick Park trails for the annual Dirt Shredder Invitational Mountain Bike Race.
Student riders participated in the legendary “poker run” and age-specific races. Not even roving bears and a few bumps and bruises could keep the smiles off riders’ faces as they rolled trough the finish line.
For an event like this to be a success, organizers relied on a number of Coast businesses that donated prizes, rocking barbecue food and cash.
