The Court Jesters club volleyball team had a successful stint at the U15 provincials last weekend in Burnaby.

The Court Jesters played four matches on Saturday, coming second in their pool. Their first playoff match was against South Langley Volleyball Club, and they won in two straight.

On Sunday morning, their match was against the Comox Valley Volleyball Club. The first set was very close, losing 25-22, but the other team found their game and the second game was not as close. "We lost this match but didn't feel so bad as Comox Valley ended up winning the gold medal," said coach Jan Richey.

The Jesters then played the Ducks from Coquitlam, winning that match. The final match of the day was against the North Shore Stars, which went to a tie-breaker game with the Jesters coming out on top 16-14 in the third.

"We ended up in fifth place in Tier 1B, which is a huge improvement from last year where the team ended up in fifth place in Tier 1C," added Richey. "The girls played some excellent volleyball and, as usual, represented the Coast very well."
