The Suncoast Breakers travelled to Whistler in late April to participate in the Whistler Spring Summit hockey tournament 35-and-over division. They played .500 hockey in the round robin portion, winning one, tying one and losing the other. They ended up in a four-way tie for second place and were awarded second on their goals for/against ratio.
The championship game was against Josey Wales, the team that had beaten them in the round robin. The Breakers went out to a 4-1 lead in the game and held on for a 5-4 victory to take the championship.
Goalie Munden Froude was named game MVP by the team.
