A select group from the Sunshine Coast slow pitch league took Whistler by storm with a big division win last weekend in Whistler.
The Big Balls Tight Mitts battled through six tough games against teams from around the province. Torrential rain nearly ended the tournament on Sunday but the host team worked diligently to pump the water off the fields so play could continue.
Many teams chose not to wait out the rain, but after a forfeit win Sunday morning, Big Balls Tight Mitts went on to cruise through to the finals on tight defence and the loud bats of Justin Samson, Derek Duncan and Carlee Benner.
