Fifteen-year-old Gibsons skater Beres Clements placed second at the Challenge Cup The Hague in the men’s advanced novice. This was his first international competition representing Canada under Skate Canada.
Beres also placed first with his short program.
It was a great podium result for his first competition at the international level. To qualify for the competition, he had placed in the National Championships in Ottawa in January.
Beres will be a guest skater at the Elvis Rocks the Coast event on March 11 at the Gibsons arena.
