The Howe Sound Hounds won the Lower Mainland Baseball Association Over-30 Title at Robert Burnaby Park on Sept. 27.
Playing on the Hounds are Skye Chilton and Gary Pennington, both of Roberts Creek. Most other players are from the North Shore.
The Hounds beat the Burnaby Blue Jays in the playoff final by a score of 6-0. Coaster Chilton closed out the game in fine style, pitching four innings of shutout ball, with no walks and five strikeouts.
The Howe Sound Hounds have now won nine league titles since 1995, more than any other team.
The level of baseball is very high with several ex-professional and national team players on the Hounds roster.
