The Sunshine Coast Minor Hockey Association Atom A team has advanced to the Final 4 Championship. For Atom level, this is as far as they go, as there are no provincials. The top four teams play and the winner takes the banner. And to boot, the Sunshine Coast is hosting.
The team went 20-5-5 over the span of the season, beating a tough Hollyburn team in two straight games to advance.
The Final 4 competition will take place in Gibsons on March 4 and 5 and is a round robin format. Teams that will also be there include Burnaby, Arbutus Club and one team still in playoffs.
The association is stoked to be hosting another tournament on the Coast and hope to give the Atom A players the same community support that the Midget A team received during the Provincials last March.
