On June 3 and 4, the Sunshine Coast Pickleball Association (SCPA) held the fourth annual Arena Bowl Pickleball Challenge tournament at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre. A total of 116 players making up over 100 teams played in 11 different competitions.
Competition was fierce at all levels and the level of fun soared to new heights. Local players welcomed the opportunity to sharpen their skills and strategy against high level competitors from the Lower Mainland and as far away as Kamloops.
The excellent standard of Sunshine Coast pickleball was evident in the 32 medals earned by local players. An excellent food service provided by SCPA volunteers ensured that everyone was fully fuelled throughout the event.
