Adult hockey league restarts with summer drop-in starting Aug. 3

After a yearlong hiatus for men’s hockey due to COVID, the Sunshine Coast Adult Hockey League (SCAHL) has been working with SCRD Recreation Services to get things restarted in August with a series of summer drop-in ice slots scheduled on Tuesday nights starting Aug. 3.

The scheduled ice times will be offered on a first come first served basis for drop-in:

Aug. 3 – 7:15 p.m. 

Aug. 10 – 8:45 p.m.  

Aug. 17 –7 p.m. 

Aug. 24 – 7 p.m. 

Aug. 31 – 7 p.m.

All ice times will be in Gibsons at the Gibsons & Area Community Centre. To register, send an email to sunshinecoasthockey@gmail.com or message us via the league’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sunshinecoastadulthockey.  

For the upcoming 2021-22 season the SCAHL is looking to expand the league and is actively recruiting new players. If you are new to the Sunshine Coast, over 18 years of age and interested in playing in the upcoming season, please consider joining.

If you are looking to earn some extra money, the league is also actively looking for referees for the upcoming season.
