The 10th annual BC Bike Race is starting on July 5 in North Vancouver and will be coming through Sechelt on July 8 and 9.
This year 600 participants – 85 per cent male and 15 per cent female – from 36 countries will ride for three to six hours a day to complete the over 300 km bike ride.
The race’s participants include Olympic mountain bikers, Olympians from other disciplines, world mountain bike champions as well as the 80 per cent of riders who are weekend warriors.
The seven day single-track stage race travels from North Vancouver July 5, Cumberland July 6, Powell River July 7, Earls Cove to Sechelt July 8, Sechelt to Langdale July 9, North Vancouver July 10, Squamish July 11, and to Whistler July 12.
