'Violet originally grew up in Beausejour, Manitoba but lived most of her life in Roberts Creek, BC, taking much enjoyment in her beautiful and well tended garden.'

'At the age of 19 she began working as a high-fashion model and then accepted an offer from a large clothing manufacturer in Stuttgart, Germany as a part-time model, part-time purchaser. She then met her husband Dieter Stulken and they married on March 24, 1956. Together they immigrated to Canada in 1957.'

'Jim loved dogs, cheap white wine, bad Westerns, a good steak and good friends. No service by request. When you think of Jim, smile - he would like that.'

'Rest in peace, soar with the eagles, until we are together again my love.'

'In lieu of a service we suggest sharing your 'Lily' stories and, perhaps, planting a flower – preferably yellow, her favourite colour – in her memory.'

'Duke had a passion for the investment business and was day trading until two weeks before his death. He loved being in nature and filled his life with wilderness canoe trips, golfing, running, hiking the John Muir Trail, gardening and traveling.'

'His life reads like a novel with many chapters. Beginning in Norway building furniture, driving delivery trucks, and serving in the King's Guard. When he arrived in Canada he took those skills to open up a ski shop and later a furniture store in Gastown. He cared deeply about his customers and grew in his career as an economic developer throughout BC.'

'Following retirement, Lilo took up the game of golf and became an avid player. She captained the Senior Women's Golf Team at the Sunshine Coast Golf Course for several years. She also became involved in the community and served on the executive and as President of the Sechelt Senior's Centre. Lilo will be remembered as a wonderful cook and hostess who loved to entertain at her home in Gibsons.'

'Lee’s effusive, outgoing personality and penchant for entertaining led the Hay-Roes to often host family and friends for summer BBQs, Boxing Day lunches, dinner parties, the annual Handel’s Messiah party, or G&Ts on the patio.  Her attention to detail, her compassion for people needing help, and her gift for making others feel welcome ensured that these occasions will continue to be fondly remembered.'
