Firefighters on the Sunshine Coast have now responded to five fires this week, after a structure fire and brush fire May 2 and antoher brush fire May 3.

Buses on the Sunshine Coast will be running according to a new schedule starting May 16. The schedule, which appears in a new print user guide, will synchronize with ferry service changes, also coming into effect May 16.

Councillors in Sechelt have given unanimous approval to a 2019 budget that calls for an 8.45 per cent tax increase – three per cent for capital reserves and 5.45 per cent for operations.
