'Camp Byng is one of Scouting’s most historic places; it is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. It is a magnificent old-growth forest, complete with wild creeks and a spectacular shoreline; and it is situated not in some remote wilderness but right here in our midst.  Taking it away from our young people is a real injustice – a sign that we are failing them.'

'We are still under Stage 4 restrictions so how can this board possibly justify this decision, which benefits a small minority while the majority of us are doing our best to minimize our use of water.'

'There are no longer designated gathering spaces and seating inside or out and no green spaces. No pets are allowed even though there is lots of evidence that pets are good for the mental wellbeing of their owners.'
